AILET NLU Delhi predictor from the 2026 merit lists

Derived from the names in each list. Seats are the counselling notification's seat matrix after the PwD horizontal seats.[7]
NLU Delhi does not join CLAT counselling. It ranks AILET candidates itself and, after the result, invites about three candidates for every seat in each category to register for online counselling. Only those who register and pay the counselling fee in time are placed on the category-wise merit lists.
The first list on 8 January 2026 offered all 110 seats. Six more lists followed, up to 11 August, and between them they offered 25 more seats as candidates withdrew or did not pay. Selected candidates in lists 1 to 3 paid a Rs 50,000 confirmation fee; from the fourth list on, NLU Delhi asked for the complete fee.[8]
The seat matrix splits the 110 seats by vertical reservation: General 50, OBC 24, SC 17, ST 8 and EWS 11. Inside those, 5% go to candidates with disabilities as a horizontal reservation, which leaves General 47 + 3 PwD, OBC 23 + 1, SC 16 + 1, ST 8 and EWS 10 + 1.
A PwD class with one seat gives one candidate's rank. In 2026 the SC PwD seat went to AIR 10,816 and the OBC PwD seat to AIR 3,430, and neither number says much about 2027. The ST PwD class had no seat, so it has no figure.[8]
It covers the five-year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) only: not the LL.M., not the foreign national and OCI/PIO seats, and not hostel allotment, which NLU Delhi decides by distance from the campus, not by rank.
It holds one year. The 2025 lists were not reachable when we built it, so the bands are wide. The other NLUs take CLAT ranks; for those, use the CLAT NLU predictor.[8]
Tips and tricks
- Register for counselling the day the invite comes. The invite goes to your AILET login and by email or SMS, and NLU Delhi does not accept late payments.[8]
- Keep your category certificate ready in your own name. OBC (non-creamy layer) and EWS certificates had to be issued on or after 1 April 2025 for the 2026 round, and no provisional admission was granted without one.[8]
- If your rank is in the reach band, watch the later lists. In 2026 the General offers moved from AIR 61 to AIR 76 between the first and the seventh list.[7]
- Sit CLAT as well. The two tests run separately, and NLU Delhi is not part of the CLAT lists.[8]
- Check the Class 12 marks rule before you register: 45%, or 42% for OBC and 40% for SC, ST and PwD candidates, as the counselling notification puts it.[8]
Questions people ask
Can I get NLU Delhi with my AILET rank?
Nobody can say before the 2027 lists. The predictor shows where a rank like yours stood in 2026: for each seat class open to you, whether NLU Delhi offered a seat to a rank that far down (safe or possible), came close (reach), or stopped short of it.[7]
Does NLU Delhi publish an AILET cut-off?
Not as a table. Each provisional merit list names only the candidates offered a seat in it. We read all seven 2026 lists and took the highest AIR offered in each class. That figure is our reading of the lists; NLU Delhi does not print it.[7]
What was the General cut-off at NLU Delhi in 2026?
The first list gave the 47 General seats to ranks up to AIR 61. Later lists offered General seats down to AIR 76, the highest General offer in 2026.[7]
Is NLU Delhi in the CLAT predictor?
No. NLU Delhi admits through its own test, AILET, and is not in the Consortium's CLAT lists. Use this page for NLU Delhi and the CLAT predictor for the other NLUs.[8]
How much is the AILET counselling fee?
For 2026, Rs 30,000 for General candidates and Rs 20,000 for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD candidates. NLU Delhi adjusts it against the programme fee if you join, and refunds it if you get no seat.[8]
When is AILET 2027?
On Sunday 13 December 2026, 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Applications close on Tuesday 10 November 2026.[9]
