Writing to the office near your home
What happens: In Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi your home and the school can fall under different offices.[1]
Fix: Use the school's district. A Ghaziabad home and an East Delhi school means Delhi East.
Which CBSE regional office handles my school, and which email or phone number should I use for my question?
CBSE runs 25 regional offices and 4 sub-regional offices, and the one you deal with depends on where the school is, not where you live. Most states have one office. Uttar Pradesh is split by district across Noida, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Dehradun, Haryana between Gurugram and Panchkula, and Delhi between Delhi East and Delhi West. Schools outside India go to Dubai. CBSE's own page lists West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh under two offices each, and four offices have no email printed yet.
This page may be out of date. It was due for a re-check on 10 January 2027. Confirm every rule with the official source before acting on it.
From CBSE's contact page (last changed 7 October 2026). CBSE changes section emails without notice; we re-check the page monthly and when Kolkata's contacts appear.
Should you write to the CBSE regional office yourself, or go through the school?[1]
Check first
Still in school: ask the school firstRegistration, LOC data, attendance cases and most corrections reach CBSE through the school. Write yourself only if the school says the case is already with CBSE.
Do it now
Left school, or the school has sent it on: email the sectionUse the section email the finder shows for your question, with the class, year and roll number in the subject line.
Get help
No email printed for your office: call the helplineAgartala, Gangtok, Itanagar and Kolkata have no contacts on CBSE's page. Ask the school, or call the CBSE helpline, 011-24050336 to 011-24050342.
Pick the state, and the district in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana or Delhi. Use the school's location, not your home address.[1]
Have ready
Most offices list separate addresses for exams and registration, for marks and migration (M&M) or correction, and for grievances. Where CBSE lists no section address, use the general email.[1]
Have ready
Subject line: class, year of exam, roll number, the problem in five words. In the body: what is wrong, what it should say, and which document proves it.[1]
Have ready
CBSE doesn't publish a reply time. We'd give it about ten working days, then call that section's number and quote the date of your mail.[1]
Have ready
CBSE's helpline numbers are 011-24050336 to 011-24050342. Have the roll number and the date of your mail ready.[1]
Have ready
This finder runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. It never asks for your name or roll number. Every office, address, email and phone number is from CBSE's contact page, checked 10 October 2026. We leave out officers' names on purpose.

District names as CBSE prints them. Uttar Pradesh: 7 + 30 + 15 + 23 = 75 districts. Haryana: 12 + 10 = 22 districts. Delhi: 7 + 4 = 11 districts.[1]
What happens: In Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi your home and the school can fall under different offices.[1]
Fix: Use the school's district. A Ghaziabad home and an East Delhi school means Delhi East.
What happens: Most offices list a separate marks and migration or correction section; the officer's address is the general one.[1]
Fix: Use the section email the finder shows.
What happens: Old or mistyped addresses bounce, and CBSE's own page prints a few with typos.[1]
Fix: Copy it from the finder, which takes each address from CBSE's page and shows the date we checked it.
What happens: CBSE's page lists West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh under two offices each.[1]
Fix: Ask the school which office its CBSE letters come from.
| If this is you | What changes |
|---|---|
| School outside India | All CBSE schools abroad come under the Dubai office: rodubai@cbse.gov.in, +971-43972517.[1] |
| Tripura, Sikkim or Arunachal Pradesh | Each has a sub-regional office (Agartala, Gangtok, Itanagar), but CBSE's page prints no phone or email for them yet. Guwahati's block lists Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram only.[1] |
| Panchkula region | Every row for Panchkula uses one address, ropanchkula.cbse@nic.in. The extension on 0172-2521500 tells the sections apart: 106 for exams, 115 or 116 for M&M, 103 for RTI and grievance.[1] |
Most CBSE work goes through the school. You need the regional office yourself when the school can't fix something, or when you have already left it.
A marksheet or certificate shows the wrong name, date of birth or parent's name, and the school has already raised the request: the name and DOB correction finder shows which cases CBSE accepts. You need a printed duplicate marksheet, a migration certificate or a verification letter, and the DigiLocker copy won't do: start with the duplicate documents guide. An attendance shortage case can only be sent by the school, and it has to reach the regional office by 7 January (attendance calculator). Private candidates with a question about the exam centre or admit card can start from private candidates 2027.[1]
CBSE's June 2026 guidance note says students whose re-evaluation shows no change can inspect their answer books at the CBSE regional office. The re-evaluation page covers the scan, verification and re-evaluation steps before that.[2]
A student who lives in Ghaziabad and studies at a school in East Delhi deals with Delhi East, not Noida. If you have already left school, use the office that covers the school you passed from. If you aren't sure which one that is, ask the school office; they deal with it every year.[1]

CBSE's contact page lists 25 regional offices, including Dubai for schools abroad, and 4 sub-regional offices at Agartala, Gangtok, Itanagar and Shimla (checked 10 October 2026).[1]
The one that covers the district where the school is. In most states that's one office for the whole state. Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi are split by district, so pick the district in the finder.[1]
Most offices have a marks and migration (M&M) or correction section with its own email. The finder shows it when you choose "Duplicate marksheet, migration, verification, name/DOB correction". Where an office lists no such section, it shows the general email.[1]
CBSE's contact page lists 011-24050336 to 011-24050342. For exam and result stress, CBSE's June 2026 guidance note gives a free 24x7 tele-helpline, 1800-11-8004.[1]
CBSE's page lists West Bengal under both Kolkata and Bhubaneswar, and Himachal Pradesh under both Panchkula and Shimla. Ask the school which office its CBSE letters come from and write to that one.[1]
CBSE's contact page does not say. We'd email first and go in person only if the office asks you to.[1]
