Tips and tricks

  • Open the PDF before you act. Our summary is short on purpose; the circular has the forms, fee tables and annexures.
  • Check the circular's date and number. Boards sometimes follow up with a reminder or a revised date, and the newest circular is the one that counts.
  • A school's last date comes before yours. The school needs your details some days before it submits them to the board, so ask the school for its own cut-off.
  • Save a copy of the PDF. Boards sometimes move or replace files, and a saved copy settles questions at the school office.
  • Use the kind filter. "Form open" and "Last date" entries need action; "Circular" entries usually explain a rule.

Questions people ask

How often is this list updated?

The list is rebuilt each time the site is updated, which is most days. A board's own page always has a circular first, so for a date that matters today, check there as well.

Why is a circular from my board missing?

We list circulars that change something for students or parents: forms, last dates, exam dates, results and rule changes. We leave out tenders, staff transfers and internal office orders. We cover only the boards on this page so far and are adding more state boards.

Are these the official notices?

No. Each entry is our plain-English summary, and its link opens the official PDF on the board's website. If our summary and the PDF ever differ, the PDF is right; please tell us through the corrections page.

How is "days left" worked out?

Your browser works it out each time you open the page, using today's date in India (IST). With JavaScript off, you see the count from the day the page was built.
